Partner Expectations and Responsibilities
- $15,300 Cash Match per AmeriCorps Member: Each community partner commits to pay the cash match for each AmeriCorps Member slot they request
- Placement Requirements: Each community partner agrees to utilize their Members to provide direct service to youth in the areas of academic engagement, after school enrichment, or other youth development activities
- Member Supervision: Each community partner will provide regular, consistent supervision to the Members at their site, which includes:
- Participating actively in the recruitment and selection of the Members
- Providing a dedicated Site Supervisor who can support the Members
- Providing the Members with necessary training and skill development
Partner (On-Site) Benefits
- Full-time youth worker dedicated to a year of service
- Committed AmeriCorps member whose intention is to learn, grow, and develop with the site/program
- BAYAC Regional Supervisor to assist with recruiting, supervising, supporting, and training the Member and ensuring Member development and retention
- Connection between the school day and afterschool programs (for school sites)
